It Started With a Black Couch and Two Cats
Like most pet owners, we didn't think much about pet hair until it became impossible to ignore. Two cats. A dark gray couch. A lint roller that needed refilling every three days.
We were spending $15–20 a month on lint roller refills, throwing away rolls of plastic-coated sticky paper, and still walking out of the house with fur on our clothes. Something had to change.
We Tried Everything
Before building anything, we went through everything on the market. Cheap lint brushes that didn't actually work. Fancy fabric shavers that damaged upholstery. Rubber gloves that made our hands tired. Vacuum attachments that pushed hair around instead of picking it up.
Some things worked okay on clothing but failed completely on furniture. Others worked on one fabric type but not another. Nothing was great at everything.
The Idea Behind Allistar
We wanted one tool that worked reliably on clothing, furniture, and car seats — without refills, without waste, and without the frustration of something that half-works.
The key insight was the self-cleaning base. Every reusable brush we tried had the same problem: after a few passes, the bristles were so full of hair that you had to stop and pick it off by hand. That's gross and slow.
With a self-cleaning base, you insert the brush, pull it out clean, and keep going. The whole process takes two seconds. That's the detail that makes the difference in daily use.
Built for Real Pet Owners
We tested the Allistar brush on every surface we could find — microfiber, velvet, cotton, linen, denim, carpet, car upholstery. We refined the bristle density and angle until it worked consistently across all of them.
We also wanted it to look good. Pet ownership shouldn't mean your home looks like a fur farm. The Allistar brush was designed to sit on a shelf or countertop without looking like a cleaning tool.
